EPA Raises “Acceptable” Radiation Levels in US Mirroring Soviet Chernobyl White Wash

While Barack Obama stands down as his country is being hit with fallout from the multiple reactor meltdowns from the Fukushima nuclear power plants, the Environmental Protection Agency is moving to do it’s part in continued cover up of the actual radiation hitting the United States. Possibly foreseeing a major health and environmental issue in the near future, the EPA is intending to “radically hike” it’s current levels of post-accident radiation in food and water according to documents obtained by under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). This move by the EPA is conveniently coming at a time when radiation has been appearing in milk and water for months. According to the, website, “the internal documents show that under the updated Protective Action Guidelines (PAG) a single glass of water could give a lifetime’s permissible expoursure. In addition, it would allow long term clean-up limits thousands of times more lax than anything EPA has ever before accepted. These new limits would cause a cancer in as much as every fourth person“.

What makes this story one of major concern is that it has played out before by the Russian government following a similar script of cover up during a nuclear disaster. Alla Yaroshinskaya, a Deputy of the USSR Supreme Soviet was able to get access to classified documents after the fall of the Soviet Union showing the various suppression and misinformation that took place during the Chernobyl disaster in 1986. According to Alla the documents revel that authorities had arbitrarily changed the standards, multiplying by five, what was considered the acceptable dose of radiation for the human body. She states, “When they raised the standard, suddenly people were “miraculously cured”. They were released from the hospital and sent home, it was criminal.”

Instead of attempting to white wash all the independent reporting coming to light regarding these increased radiation levels in the US, the proposed moves by the EPA would sidestep the entire issue by simply changing the “rules of the game” on reporting levels. Now presumably any reporting done after these PAG changes take place will be followed by the EPA’s seal of approval that whatever dosages found are with in their safe limits. Although most people will be unaware that the limits were only recently changed. That is unless they decide to adopt the current mantra trial ballooning through the mainstream media currently that radiation is healthy and greatly supported.
